Phase 1: Survey and Permission
A survey of the map identified Badshahpur Pond as the site. Permission was then sought from the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram.

Phase 2: Ground Preparation and Excavation
Clearance of accumulated waste and mechanical excavation of the pond bed. Digging was stopped during July and August because of heavy rain, then resumed. The main excavation is done. The banks still have to be shaped to the planned layout, with a gentler upper slope and a planted shelf at the water's edge.

Phase 3: Ecosystem Planting
The plantation drive will begin soon, once the banks are shaped.

Phase 4: First Water Collection & Community Handover
The pond is designed to capture monsoon rains, followed by an assessment of its water retention capacity. Pathways and fencing to be installed, public access opened, and a long-term community stewardship plan activated.
